Ingredients
- 1 cup Foxtail Millet
- 1 no Chopped Onion
- 2 tbsp pomegranate seeds
- 1/2 tsp ghee
- 1 tsp urad dal
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
- 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
- 5-7 nos curry leaves
- 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 cup Curd
- 3 cup Water
Instructions
- Prepare Millet: Wash the millet 3-4 times and soak it for 30 minutes. Boil water, add millet, and cook until the grains puff up like rice. Add salt, drain, and set aside to cool.
- Tadka Preparation: Heat ghee in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, a pinch of hing (asafoetida), and curry leaves. Sauté until aromatic.
- Mix and Serve: Combine the tadka with the cooled millet. Add curd, chopped coriander, pomegranate seeds, and chopped onion. Mix well.
- Garnish & Serve: Serve with a side of lemon pickle for an extra burst of flavor.
